About Travis County Court Docket

Travis County dockets are divided among the District Clerk, County Clerk, Justice Courts, probate courts, and city courts. Each office maintains a different part of the public record. This private reference resource organizes those official routes so a reader can choose the right portal, counter, mailing address, or phone line without treating every Austin-area case as part of one database.

Why We Built This Site

Texas provides several paths to public court information, yet custody is the key question. The District Clerk keeps District Court files. The County Clerk keeps misdemeanor, probate, and County Courts at Law records. Justice and municipal court clerks maintain their own dockets. re:SearchTX adds a statewide search layer without replacing those local custodians. We assemble official contacts, portal links, case-number clues, and request steps so those boundaries are easier to follow.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Travis County
  • Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
  • Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
  • Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, with no connection to a Texas court, clerk, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They operate their own products, set prices, and control results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may earn this site a referral fee, which supports free access to the reference pages. We do not set provider fees or determine what a third-party search returns.
